Key for winding a mechanical clock

The key, also known as a winding key, is designed for winding mechanical clocks. It allows for convenient winding of the mechanism's spring during everyday use of the clock, as well as during servicing and restoration work in the watchmaker's workshop.

The product is available in various sizes, tailored to square winding shafts used in clock mechanisms. Before purchasing, measure the shaft with calipers between the flat walls and choose the closest possible size of the key.

Important: a properly selected key should fit freely on the shaft but must not have excessive play. A size that is too large can hinder winding and cause damage to the shaft.
